Alibarbar Vape Not Working? How to Fix an Ingot 9000
18+ only. This guide is for adults 18 and over. Alibarbar devices contain nicotine, which is addictive.
The information below describes the official Alibarbar Australia catalogue. Orders are supplied through the Australian pharmacy channel and remain subject to current TGA requirements, pharmacist assessment and state or territory law. Australian vaping rules.
Brand-new Alibarbar not working out of the box
Work through these checks in order. If a brand-new device still will not work, it may be faulty. Email orders@ailibarbar.com within 7 days of delivery. See Returns.
- Remove every bit of packaging. Many devices ship with a cap or silicone plug in the mouthpiece and a protective sticker over the air intake. If either is left on, no air flows and the draw sensor will not trigger. See how to open an Alibarbar vape.
- Check your grip. Larger devices are easy to hold so that a finger covers the intake. Shift your grip and try again.
- Take a slow, gentle draw of a few seconds. The Ingot 9000 is inhale-activated, with no buttons. A tentative sip may not register, and a very sharp pull can overwhelm the sensor. See how to use a disposable vape.
- Let it reach room temperature. A device that has been in a cold car or a hot letterbox can behave oddly until it settles. Never warm a device with direct heat.
- Look at the LED. If it shows battery and e-liquid but nothing happens after the steps above, treat it as possibly faulty. Stop forcing it and contact us. Keep the device.
Alibarbar not hitting after it has been used
Read the display first. If the e-liquid level shows empty, the device is finished even if battery remains. If the battery shows empty and vapour drops off, it is also finished. See how to read the Alibarbar LED.
- Clear condensation. Hold the device mouthpiece-down over a tissue and tap it gently against your palm. Do not insert anything into the mouthpiece.
- Slow down. Many puffs in quick succession can trigger a short cut-off or flood the airway. Leave a gap between draws.
- For how long a device usually lasts in practice, see how long an Ingot 9000 lasts.
Alibarbar blinking: what it means
On a sealed, non-rechargeable disposable like the Ingot 9000, a flashing light with little or no vapour is usually the end-of-life signal. The battery or e-liquid is finished. The LED guide explains how to read the battery and e-liquid indicators separately.
If it blinks only while you are drawing very hard or very fast, stop, wait a minute, then try a gentler draw.
The exact blink-count meanings are not published by the manufacturer. This page does not assign a meaning to any specific number of flashes.
How do I charge my Alibarbar?
You don't. The manufacturer lists the Ingot 9000 as non-rechargeable. Some guides online tell you to charge a device for 20 minutes first. That advice is for other hardware, not this model. When the battery is finished, replace the device and recycle the old one at an e-waste or battery drop-off point.
Do not open the casing, add improvised chargers, or follow videos that wire a disposable to a power source. Sealed lithium-battery devices are a fire risk when tampered with.

Burnt or harsh taste
A burnt taste has a different meaning on a new device than on one that is nearly finished.
- Near the end of the device, a burnt taste usually means the wick is running dry. Time to replace it.
- Chain vaping: rapid puffs can give a dry hit even with liquid left, because the wick cannot re-soak. Slow down and leave gaps.
- On a new or nearly-new device, stop using it and contact us. Do not try to push through it.
Leaking or gurgling
A little gurgle or a drop of condensation at the mouthpiece is common. Store the device upright and out of heat (cars, direct sun, warm pockets). If e-liquid pools or drips, or the device gets hot, stop using it. Wash e-liquid off skin with soap and water.

Could it be a fake?
Counterfeit devices may not match the manufacturer's stated specs, so they may not behave like a genuine Ingot 9000. If yours looks or feels different from the specs below, or you bought it from an unknown seller, use the Alibarbar fake vs real checklist and the Alibarbar authentication guide. The authenticity FAQ covers the same checks in short answers.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my brand-new Alibarbar not working?
Usually packaging is still on the mouthpiece or air intake, or a finger is covering the intake. Remove all caps and stickers, then take a slow, steady draw. If the LED shows battery and e-liquid and it still will not fire, contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Why is my Alibarbar blinking?
On the non-rechargeable Ingot 9000, a flash with little or no vapour usually means the battery or e-liquid is finished. If it only blinks during very hard draws, rest it and draw more gently. Exact blink-count meanings are not published by the manufacturer.
Can I charge my Alibarbar Ingot 9000?
No. The manufacturer lists the Ingot 9000 as non-rechargeable. Do not open it or try to charge it. Replace and recycle it when it is finished.
Why does my Alibarbar taste burnt?
The wick is running dry, either because the device is nearly empty or because of rapid puffing. If a new device tastes burnt, stop using it and contact us.
My Alibarbar is leaking. What should I do?
Store it upright and away from heat. Light condensation is common, but if e-liquid drips or the device gets hot, stop using it.
How do I get a faulty Alibarbar replaced?
Email orders@ailibarbar.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo or video. Keep the device until we have assessed it. See the Returns policy.
How do I know when my Alibarbar is finished?
When the e-liquid indicator is empty, or the battery is empty and vapour drops off. A burnt taste or a flash with no vapour also means it is time to replace it.
